Simple Living is a way of being, an outlook on life that allows us to view our relationships in a very different way. The sentiments of the OSHO Zen Tarot card below are so inciteful, as shared below.
I once took a class where we walked in a maze doing a moving meditation; the results were so interesting. It was a metaphor for our lives – as we walk on our path, we meet others, sometimes we travel together, or we part, then meet up again later; we come and we go from each other’s lives.
The realization I came to was that we cannot take things so personally. Others are just walking on their path the same as we are. If friendships end, someone has perhaps taken a step on their path that takes them away from us.
Be an observer in your own life: notice your motivations in your friendships. Are you imposing your opinions on others? Are you trying to change them? Or are you faced with drama in your relationships?
Practice awareness in relationships and don’t take it personally when others move on their path that takes them away from you.
From Osho Zen Tarot – 2 of water: Friendliness
When you reach a state of higher vibration you are no longer interested in engaging in all kinds of romances and dramas that people engage in. When you find maturity about relationships you are self contained, easy to be with, and natural.
There is no urgency about the connection, no neediness, no desire to change the other into something else. In this mature state of relationships being with others is beautiful and being alone is beautiful too.
It is simple. You don’t depend on others, and you don’t make others dependant on you. You don’t make a connection out of fear. You share as long as things move beautifully. When the moment comes that your paths depart, you say goodbye with love and gratitude for all the beautiful moments shared. With no misery or pain you simply separate.
