Simple Living – Reduce your Clutter

Reduce your clutter – make a space for items in your home, if there is no space, decide if you really need it. If you struggle with this, there are professionals who do this – get help. Getting rid of things you don’t need or aren’t using is a symbolic act of releasing what you don’t need in your life. The physical is connected to the deeper Simple Living - Clear your Clutterlevels of our being, and the simple act of clearing out your clutter can be one of the most spiritual experiences you can have.

One thing learned from living small, you really have to decide what to keep and what you have walked on or over and haven’t used in awhile – it must go. If it has not been used in 30 days, chances are you will not need it for the next 30 days either.

One of the habits of people I notice has a spiritual parallel – stuffing your closets. Take a look at your home, is it neat and tidy, but all your junk is piled up high in the closets. All the things you don’t want to throw out today might be nicely stacked in a tidy box, but does it represent an emotion or a memory you have stuffed away and do not want to deal with.

When you look at the item, or just the thought of dealing with it makes your stomach clench and you feel sick about it, that is the very thing not to put back in the closet, get help to deal with the emotion.

Emotions are tools that your higher self uses to inform you. Use this tool to be the observer in your life. Step back from the emotion, view as if it were someone else, and say … how interesting!

If your emotions are too much to deal with alone, work with a shaman to clear the energy surrounding any painful wounds, don’t let them stagnate and crystallize in your energy field.
