Be Careful what you ask for – when you ask for something to show up in your life ensure are you ready for it, and able to handle it. When you ask for change in your life, can you make time for it? The key to simple living is to bring into your life only the things you want and let the rest go.
The challenge with this concept is we humans are split, we have schizophrenia, or split personality. This is precisely why we get stuck in the indecisive aspect of our thinking. Should I do this or that? should I jump feet first or dive in head first? what if I decide the wrong way? The only way to get out of this type of stuck thinking is to jump! let go of thinking, just feel and jump into the experience.
I had a classic example of this that the universe provided to me. I was in the process of making a life decision, agonizing over my choices to move forward, to hang onto what I know, or to let go. While I was going through this painful mental and emotional process I happened to be out boating.
I was sitting there in the boat daydreaming and the other person untied the boat and jumped in. I wasn’t paying attention, the boat started to sway and I got caught off-balance (yes… I’m a klutz) and I found myself hanging between the boat and the dock. I yelled “Help” but there was nothing that could be done… I had to fall into the water. My heart was racing, I was hyperventilating, and I had to just let go. I had been released from indecision about which way to fall, into the boat, onto the dock, or what to do. I was between a rock and a hard place, and I had to fall.
I was perfectly safe, but I came up sputtering and panting. After a few moments, I realized I was perfectly safe, and I had done it! I jumped and I was safe, and it was far less painful than the agony of hanging on. I believe this was a message from spirit to show me how easy it can be to just decide… and then let it happen.
