Simple Living – don’t feed the Machine

Don’t Feed the Machine – our life energy can be depleted in our efforts to keep fueling the ridiculous machine of self-importance and productivity. Are you so busy “keeping it together” you have forgotten to really rest, and cannot allow yourself to be playful?

Exhaustion (card and information from Osho Zen Tarot deck)

Life isn’t a business to be managed, it’s a mystery to be lived. Time to tear up the time card, break out of the factory and take a trip into the uncharted. Your life can flow more smoothly from a relaxed state of mind.

We play out roles, like the good child, the responsible adult, the hard worker. This is closely related to our families. I saw a great quote … “sometimes I open my mouth and my mother comes out.” Do you find as you get older you get more like your parents than you ever wish to be?

The shaman believes that you can identify these roles and make a conscious choice whether you want them to play out in your life or let them go.

Is that role you play driving you to exhaustion? Take some time and identify what roles you play, and how they are complicating your life. If its a difficult task to identify yourself, ask a trusted friend to assist you with no judgement to work through this exercise with you.

If you wish to make this change at an energetic level, contact Deanna Strandquist with Wind Haven Consulting www.wind-haven.com to work through these energetic blocks that are preventing you from Simple Living.
