The New Moon

The New Moon arrives on Saturday April 21st. There are so many wonderful ways to celebrate this renewal and celebration. We have compiled a list for you of fun activities in honor of the new moon.

Have a moon meditation. This is a good time to start a new project. Write down your goals or the steps you need to take towards your goal. Focus on what you want and how you can move forward.

Pull out your telescope. The night sky will have less light than usual and you will be able to see more stars. If you are in Crestone, you won’t need a telescope because we always have a sky full of the most brilliant star gazing in Colorado.

Plant a garden. Check with your local co-op and garden shop to find out what is best to plant in your area. Supposedly fruit and vegetables grow faster when they are planted on a new moon.

Host a drum circle. Ring in a new moon with your family and friends by sharing music and food at a new moon party.

Take a vacation. Visit Crestone and celebrate the new moon in peace and quiet. A perk of our small mountain town is how renewed you will feel after escaping from the hustle and bustle of city life to relax and meditate without any distractions.

Howl at the moon! Please be considerate of your neighbors as you welcome the new moon like a wolf.

Have a wonderful day from your friends at Casa Del
